Matiko Lori Slingback Pointed Toe Shoes Green Tartan Plaid 。This is an amazing burgundy felt fedora from the fashionable 1940s\'! The conical crown is shaped in a unique and beautiful way at then top. It is surrounded by a medium width brim with gorgeous cutouts. Additionally there is a feather arrangement at one side that resembles a bird body and tail. A shiny burgundy band is attached around the crown and it ends in a criss-cross at the back. Simply stunning! The wartime 40’s saw a huge variety of hats that were suitable for any face shape, hairstyle or personal preference. Throughout the war & on both sides of the Atlantic, elaborate creations brightened dreary utility fashions, brought about by rationing. The only items not rationed were hat materials. Explosions of feathers, veiling & artificial flowers were popular. There is no designer label, but a size label with Size 23 on it. Please keep in mind that you are buying a vintage hat, not new nor perfect! This is an authentic piece of fashion history! This hat is in wonderful vintage condition & has been lovingly preserved among over 1300 vintage hats we have collected for 40+ years. Feathers, straw, furs, flowers & veils are fragile, given their age. Mannequin not for sale.
